Taipei Chengshih University of Science and Technology Foreign Students Scholarship Regulations

Approved in the 4nd Meeting of the Administrative Committee on March 27th, 2013

一、依據「教育部補助大專校院及其附設華語文教學機構設置外國學生獎學金核撥作業規定」制定本要點。

Article I.  According to “The regulations to provide the subsidy to the Chinese Language Center of colleges and universities by the Ministry of Education,” these main points are made.

二、申請資格

Article II.  Qualifications of the applicant

(一)在本校就讀並具有正式學籍之外國學生。

      Currently studying at Taipei Chengshih University of Science and Technology (TPCU) foreign students and with official student status recognized by the Ministry of Education.

(二)未領取我國政府機關之獎助學金者。

          Has not accepted scholarship from any organization of the Republic of China.

(三)大學部：上一學期學業成績平均70分(含)以上及操行成績80分(含)以上、且每學期至少修習9(含)學分。

         Undergraduate school average academic grade of the first semester should  be 70 or above and the ethics grade should be 80 or above. The student should take 9 or more credits each semester.

(四)研究所：上一學期學業成績平均80分(含)以上及操性成績80分(含)以上、且每學期至少修習4(含)學分。

         Graduate school average academic grade of the first semester should be 80 or above, and the ethics grade should be 80 or above. The student should take 4 or more credits each semester.

四、奬學金名額、額度

Article IV.  The number and the amount of the scholarships

(一)受獎生實際名額及獎學金額，視教育部每年核配本校之補助款調整。

          The actual number and amount scholarships depend on the subsidy from the Ministry of Education to make adjustment.

(二)申請名額過多時依大學部及研究所之受奬名額、金額及國籍比例，擇優核給優秀外國學生。

          If there are a large number of the applicants, scholarships will be granted to the best students according to the number, amount, and nationality of the undergraduate school and the graduate school.

五、申請及審核方式

Article V.   The procedure of evaluation

(一)每學年依公告申請期限向本校國際交流中心提出申請。

          The applicant should follow the publicized date to send the request to the International Exchange Center every school year.

(二)本獎學金審查小組由三院 (工學院、商管學院、民生學院)各遴選2名審查委員以及國際交流中心主任共7名，組成審查會議。

           The scholarship evaluation committee will choose two members each from the College of Industrial Engineering, the College of Business and Management, and the College of Human Ecology, plus the Director of the International Exchange Center. A total of seven members will compose the evaluation committee.

六、核給年限

Article VI.    Duration of the scholarship

(一)每次核定1年，須逐年申請。

   The duration of the scholarship is one year. The applicant is required to apply each year.

(二)獎學金支領期限，大學部以4年為限、碩士班研究生以2年為限、博士班研究生以3年為限。

          The maximum time of the scholarship in the undergraduate school is four years; for the graduate school, the masters program is two years, and the Ph.D. program is three years.

七、本要點經行政會議通過陳請 校長核可後實施，修正時亦同。

Article VII.  Approval

This procedure should be approved by the administration meeting and then approved by the President in order to implement it. The same procedure will apply, if the procedure is amended.
